Starting this today - it's called Project 365 - one photo a day for a year. There's a kit that will be sold starting Thursday and Becky had this video today that just got me so energized to do this! Video is here.

I agreed with Becky about starting on a Sunday and I've taken the first picture. I love the idea of documenting the daily items/moments that will make up 2009 for us.

Totally thinking of starting this Jan 1 Becky
It's a new approach to scrapbooking for the year, and while I don't think it will replace what I do now, I think it would be a neat project to try. I want to work on my photography for the year - I have the camera, now just need to get the time - another thing I'm working on right now.

I will neither confirm...nor deny....

So my good friend Jen got a laugh out of me today - check out her post and then come back here....I'll wait for ya!

Done? Okay! So let me just say that I've seen that watch, up close, and it is a beauty! The style of the wristband, the color, the charming way that his name is misspelled. The bling, oh the bling! My DH was lucky enough to "win" this treasure the first year it was brought to the party.

But Jen? You don't remember how that lovely watch made it's way back to your home? Don't you remember that it was lovingly wrapped around a tshirt with this image on it? And it was promoting Tom's Torchin' BBQ - Nothin's Too Hot!

And that it was given to your husband at our 2007 party?

Now, as for that santa...see title....

Update from Party

I meant to post this a few weeks ago. Remember this picture?

Here they are at his birthday party

Her shirt looks the same, but is different; his shirt looks the same - is the same. Cute "couple"!

So I had a thrilling drive this afternoon, going from Arvada to Superior. When I started out, it was just starting to snow - the flakes were so small that A debated with me if it was actually snow or not - her vote...not. I dropped her at gymnastics and headed out. As I got closer and closer, it was harder to tell where I was. It was practically a white out by the time I got to Superior. And I had to drive on roads that I'm not familiar with and that honestly were not designed with the best intentions, nor maintained by the best of crews.

I was driving to Superior to pick up the last copy of Wii Mario Kart at a store 10 miles away. Why? Well, we already have it - in fact, I received it for my birthday, back in April. This copy though, was for our niece J. She has received a Wii for Christmas, though I don't know why she has it already, but that was her mother's choice. So we wanted to get her a copy so that we could race each other (and kick her butt!).

The whole time I was driving, I was having a conversation with J (in my head), thinking about how she was safe and warm (literally) in Phoenix, while I was driving in some of the worst conditions, to get her this game. I had to brush the snow off my car before I even started heading back to Arvada, and while I was tempted to run into the nearby Target since I was childless at the time, I knew better and got myself back to gymnastics. Round trip time was 45 minutes on a normal 25 minute drive.

She better appreciate this!
Oh, and it's still snowing...

My Boy

He's 11 years old today - that breaks my heart to put those words down. It's true when they say blink and they've grown up. Where have these 11 years gone? I had a lot of trouble last year with 10 - there were probably 6 months there where I would tear up thinking about how old he was. He has less time with us in the house now then he's been alive - that's not fair.

We're having lunch with him in about 25 minutes - during the actual time he was born - which is a tradition we have (more on that later). The school has an annual Thanksgiving Feast, so during this time, I'll take lots of pictures, gaze upon my blue eyed blue, and truly give thanks for him. Our lives are so much better because of him! Anybody have a tissue?
